"Let me tell you a story," he says, tilting his head to look you in the eye. You step back. This is The Scare-you Crow, a strange sort of fae thing who delights in terrifying passers by. He's really quite friendly though, so sit down, listen to his story. And then have pleasant nightmares. . .

The Scare-you Crow is a mixed media art doll. His head, lower arms, and lower legs are all hand sculpted in Paperclay (an air hardening clay made of volcanic ash and wood pulp. No tools or molds were used, so he is entirely one of a kind.

The limbs and head are attached to a yarn-covered wire skeleton using copper wire threaded through at the joints. His clothing is sewn on and non removable, and he should not be posed at the joints due to the wire being soft.

He wears a pair of serged and hand-sewn black velvet breeches over stripy leggings. His shirt is spandex in black with ragged ended striped sleeves. Over this he wears a green and black burnout velvet waistcoat with a little gold tone pocket watch chain. He also has a filigreed breastplate of sorts made from an old earring. To top it all off he has a long black shot green silk taffeta tattered duster coat with a chain at the shoulders and black feathers springing out. His scarf is a tattered lace, and his hair is black marabou glued into a Mohawk.

The Scare-you Crow comes with a handmade wire stand, and is tied to it by the ankles with sterling silver wire, and wire is twisted around his waist to keep him attached.

He stands 9 inches tall.

The Scare-you Crow has small embellishments which may be a choking hazard to children or pets. He is a sculpture for display purposes only and not a toy.
