The Victorious by WintersKnight The Victorious by WintersKnight
Sigyn, wife of Loki in Norse Mythology. Little information is given on this goddess aside from the fact that she holds the bowl to catch the snake's venom as it drips on her husband.

Her name means Victorious Girl-friend

Again, very Mucha inspired.
Micron pen and prismacolor marker on card stock.

Her dress is absolutely gorgeous and makes me think of a mermaid and I love the area around her chest with all the silver as well. I can imagine the dress shimmering in the sunlight as well. Very lovely.

Thanks so much ^____^. I still enjoy designing fancy costumes, even if I don't do it for theatre or film anymore. I kinda want to make that dress one day maybe. . . with silk of course. Might just make it for a doll though.

I've vaguely dabbled with some silk and I member it being a complete nightmare. Maybe it plays nicer for you though =D

Silk loves me and the feeling is mutual. I like it best because it is such a versatile fiber. The floaty habotai is a lot easier to work with than Charmeuse though. Anything satin-like should just be called satan-like.

This is definitely in my to-buy list (along with a lot of other Norse fun-ness)! She's a pretty awesome lady, Sigyn.

Wonderful! Both the style and the subject, for it is good to see the softer, more female aspects of Norse mythology in images for a change.

She's very beautiful. She could almost be Sirona, too, with the snake symbology and the lovely, flowing dress that almost looks like water. Very pretty!

I especially like that she looks just a little bit sad-- due to her situation, I'm sure!

Thank you so much! I feel so bad for poor Sigyn, one of these days maybe I'll draw her being happy. . . but I think that might be even more sad somehow.

I love her blueness!

And omg! You actually made her look nice as a blond! Not very many people are good at drawing blondes, so I really like this!

Thank yoou! I am glad you like her ^_^. I think the ability to draw good looking blondes comes from the fact that my own hair is rather blonde naturally and that I've had it about every colour under the sun at least once.

Also, She may or may not be holding a cereal bowl instead of a poison catching bowl. . . one can never be sure.

I'm hoping to do a whole ton of these style drawings of the Norse pantheon. . . Though, I'll likely be drawing mostly Loki's families . . . Oh, and Magni and Modi. . . cause they don't get enough love, those two. And Sif. . . cause 0_0 haair.

Fantastic work. The rose in her cheek was a nice touch and the colour you used for her dress reminds me of Loki, but it is more feminin. The colour suits her perfectly ^ ^ I must also mention the detail of the garment. Such a wonderful design and the background is amazing :D
